Born in South Africa, Richard and his family left the privileged life behind to start over in America. This "immigrant" work ethic drives Richard to work around the clock to be the best and he expects the best from those around him. Many clients have commented to Richard saying he "always appears to be up working. Do you ever sleep?" Richard's response, "I do whatever it takes! I'll sleep when it's over."

About the Man of Mopane
As owner and founder of Mopane, Richard Berman personally participates in each production from beginning to end. As your Line Producer, he offers an impressive list of commercial, music video, film, television and multi media credits. He has worked in various capacities with some of Hollywood’s finest craftsmen such as Academy Award winning Production Designer Ken Adam, Directors Norman Jewison, Edward Zwick, Barry Sonnenfeld, Sam Raimi, Michael Bay, David Fincher, Janusz Kaminski, Executive Producers Dan Melnick, Lynda Obst, Patrick Markey and Barry Waldman. The knowledge he has gained through 20 years of work experience in the industry and from the mentoring he has received, has served as an advanced education that has made him thrive on projects of any scope.
