  • I called Kathy at the resort from the bathroom to let her know...
  • we were on our way & they pulled it off flawlessly when we checked in.
  • Now we were really excited about our "upgrade" to a two story suite with private hot tub.
  • Andrea had no idea I had planned every detail weeks in advance and...
  • was just so excited about how our little getaway just got better.
  • So off we went to dinner where our waitress scared me by asking "Celebrating anything special?"
  • I gulped thinking "Didn't she get the elaborate email presentation I sent? The special occasion isn't until tomorrow"...
  • I had to think quickly... "Just life!" I responded.

  • Our folks left early Saturday morning and drove the 3 hours to wait at this restaurant next door until the right time...
  • Ken & Laura, Andrea's amazing parents...
  • and June and Merrell, my wonderful folks...
  • They didn't hold back on this celebratory weekend and were ready to go...
  • Once they got the call from Kathy to say the coast is clear so come on over...
  • Meanwhile, back in the room, I had breakfast in bed delivered at 10am - way too early...
  • Andrea made that known when she wondered who was knocking at our door saying from bed...
  • "Don't they see the DO NOT DISTURB sign?". I had to think quickly when she asked when I organized this???
  • Knowing the plan was to go on a hike, Andrea polished off her Freedom Toast and got ready...
